Vulcan Lodge starts the season with a Fraternal visit to Littleover Lodge 9565
It is often said, that in visiting we find the best of what it is to be a Freemason, indeed in Mackey’s Fourteenth Landmark it reads as follows:
“The right of every Masons to visit and sit in every regular Lodge is an unquestionable Landmark of the Order. This is called the ‘right of visitation.’ This right of visitation has always been recognized as an inherent right, which inures to every Masons as he travels through the world.”
On Thursday 1st September, 8 Vulcan Members made a trip to the county capital in Derby, to Atttend Littleover Lodge 9565 1st meeting of the season
Littleover meet at the Provincial Grand Lodge of Derbyshire headquarters namely The Grange.
Vulcan’s current Worshipful Master, W.Bro Ian Campbell, 5 Vulcan Past Masters and two master masons had a most enjoyable evening, seeing a well worked 1st degree, under the Mastership of W.Bro Danny Brown.
The Festive board was equally enjoyable, with a good three course meal at £16.
We all had a very enjoyable evening, and the bonds amongst our brothers and also of Littleover where strengthened, with plenty of smiling freemasons to be observed on the night.
Vulcan’s next meeting is on Friday 28th October where we will have a Demonstration of a 1st Degree. If you would like to visit, please contact our secretary or complete the Book in Form https://vulcanlodge.org/book-in-your-visit/
