I joined Vulcan lodge after my father’s death in 2013. Dad was an active member of freemasonry since 1978, and I had joined Odyssey Lodge 9739 in Crook, County Durham of which he was a founding Member. The lodge is a daylight lodge and meets 4 times a year, but as I live in the East Midlands, it was hard to get to the every meeting. I was recommended Vulcan by John D Watts the Asst PGM of Durham, as there are 2 Vulcan Freemasons Lodges in the North East. I have to say how wonderful and friendly the lodge is, and I haven’t looked back. I’m making many friends and improving my confidence and knowledge while having fun. I still the think the festive board is the best value for money in fun scale that currently exists in the modern world.
